InterviewCoach AI is operated by a sole trader (autónomo) based in Gijón, Asturias, Spain. For privacy inquiries, contact us at support@interviewcoaching.app.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following information when you use the Service:
  • Account data — your email address and name, managed by Clerk (our authentication provider).
  • Profile data — your selected role, experience level, and target company.
  • Preparation data — optional CV text, focus areas, and job descriptions you submit.
  • Interview data — the full transcript of your mock interview sessions.
  • Feedback data — AI-generated scores and feedback reports from your sessions.
  • Usage data — session count, session status, timestamps, plan information, and service-health events.
  • Billing data — subscription and customer identifiers returned by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:
  • Provide and improve the Service (run interviews, generate feedback).
  • Display your history and progress in the dashboard.
  • Manage your subscription and enforce plan limits.
  • Send service-related emails such as onboarding, reminders, feedback follow-ups, and billing notices.
  • Monitor service health, investigate failures, and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your interview transcripts to train AI models.

4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR or similar rules apply, we process personal data on the following bases:
  • Contract — to create your account, run interview sessions, generate reports, and provide paid features.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the Service.
  • Legal obligations — for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance when required.
  • Consent — where we rely on optional communications or other processing that requires it.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following sub-processors:
  • Clerk — user authentication and identity management (US).
  • Supabase — database and data storage (EU region).
  • Anthropic — AI processing of interview transcripts to generate feedback (US). Transcripts are sent to Anthropic's API and are subject to their privacy policy.
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure (US/EU).
  • Stripe — payment processing, subscriptions, and customer billing (US/EU depending on service routing).
  • Resend — transactional and product emails (US/EU depending on service routing).

6. International Transfers

Because some of our providers operate outside the European Economic Area, your data may be transferred internationally. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections or provider commitments intended to support lawful transfers.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data and interview history for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@interviewcoaching.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • Request portability of data you provided to us, where applicable.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (managed by Clerk). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and using reputable third-party infrastructure providers. However, no system is completely secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
